JURISDICTION BASHING

Post by Liudmilla »

While I can understand the need to discuss our differences, I find the last few discussions to be very, very close to jurisdiction bashing. While we may not always agree with each other, bashing another's church is not a brotherly action. We seem to fall into this mode every once in a while.

Exchange of information is right and necessary, but let's try to be nice about it, please. Perhaps we need to be addressing our concerns to the bishops themselves. I think that if they receive enough mail, someone is bound to answer sooner or later. And then we can discuss the answers. Sometimes, I am tempted to print out our discussions and send them to our bishops ...to show them our concerns.

To the laity, I would say the following....We look to you for guidance, but our world teaches to be cautious. It is not enough for you to say you are bound in obedience to your bishop. You need to explain why, how come, and what for. I know that this is simply not done, but you have to. There is too much misinformation in the world and your people need to understand all the why, wherefore and how comes.

If as you all preach the end is coming, and we must be ready to fight and defend....then we can no longer just be sheep following you mindlessly.

Of course there is an answer. The answer is that the Church and God is INSIDE you; it is not external. It does NOT exist in a building built of bricks or incorporated in secular Law. Jesus told us (and the Woman at the well) this -- why have we forgotten it?

He said in the very near future one would not have to go to the Jerusalem temple to worship.

Right. But why would God say that if he was just planning on setting up another place to have to go to to worship him?

I am not saying that we should NOT ever go to Church -- I am just saying that we cannot say which one is the TRUE church. WORSHIP is the True Church.

Of couse, I understand you cannot agree with me on this subject.
