I didn't even realize that THAT was why the Rocor monks were evicted from the St Prophet Elias Skete.
It should have been obvious, but maybe the reason was not spelled out completely in subsequent years for ecclesiastical-diplomatic reasons.

How many Rocor monks were there at the time ? 5 ? 10 ?
To where did they disperse ?

And also what was the stance of Abbot Methodios ? Anti-vaccine, i assume, since GOC-K was pro-vaccine [unbelievably !]

The New Brotherhood of Esfighmenou was one founded to counter the non-commemorators, right ? How many of them are at the Monastery now ? How did the separation of the 2 groups work ? I have forgotten.

That may have been an inadvertent error on Father's part.

There was a video of Met Demetrios specifically recommending that people cover their faces and take the vaccine

I don't have a problem with Met. Demetrios being wrong. I thought it was real in the beginning as well, although I didn't take the poison and knew the masks were stupid.

I only have a problem if he never admitted it.

That is my problem with the GOC-K as well. I didn't know Metropolitan Demetrios ever recommended it; I only know about him refusing to speak against it in a video I personally watched.

What I am waiting for is a retraction. Covidism is a serious enough heresy that I would like to see synodal condemnation from them. Why is it okay for any bishops or priests to say that people should take sorcerers' brews made from children? Why do they refuse to take a stand? There are good priests in the GOC-K who say it openly, so where is the synod?

By this point I cannot join them in good faith. There is no way that anyone can claim that the use of sorcerers' cures made with children is not condemned by the Fathers and the Councils. It absolutely is. That is why if the clergy will not condemn teaching the laity to take it as heresy, which it is, I must question their validity. The same goes for the church closures and other fake measures. Remaining silent is not an option. It is just a new henoticon.

Obviously they are not far gone like the state church is but I am not choosing to trade ecumenism for covidism.

People made mistakes--fine. We were all taken somewhat by surprise. Five years later, millions of deaths and “adverse effects,” sacrileges, publicly available methods and ingredients, their own priests preaching against it, and not one word that I have ever heard. I don't want to hear anything about it being over or there being no need to take a side--some of them were very, very quick to take a side in favour of it. By this point I would advise going to whichever other Orthodox jurisdiction is in the vicinity.

People may not like my saying it, I understand, but what other conclusion can I possibly draw. I don't like it either. I don't want to say it.

Even the neo-Athonite fathers on the mountain right now, who are more on topic for the current thread, are willing to condemn covidism and the jabs. Am I supposed to condemn these monks for commemorating ecumenists, then turn around and commemorate those who teach others to consume the blood of ritually murdered children?

Hard to speak in public that way, BUT the TRUTH will wake up people and stop them from joining an honestly VERY BAD jurisdiction ! If one starts examining all the other points, TOO, one arrives at that conclusion

True we are seemingly off the thread's topic but to make the comparison between weak ecumenists and outright vile proponents of what you have described above is immensely valuable so that all readers can be fully informed of these vital indexes which they otherwise will NEVER find at another discussion forum, i bet ! Only here !
