Metropolitan Hilarion [Alfeyev] turned 50 ? He still looks like a fresh young kid...!

These pictures are amazing ! In what MP church did this jaw-dropping event take place ? Was the location mentioned by Nicholas Zbiljic in his post or by anyone else ? I looked around just now but didn't see any labels for the actual building.

Is this the very - haha ! - first time that such things have taken place, to the best of our [ outsiders' ] knowledge ? For there could have been trial runs staged earlier.

Also, did the Living Church introduce this type of change ? I had never heard of that angle. I thought the Renovationists' innovations were more in the line of permitting married priests and relaxing many rules, along with 'hijacking' the legitimate Church by commemorating the Living Church imposters masquerading as archpastors. And punishing those who remained loyal to the true Patriarch, Patriarch Tikhon [Bellavin].
