For all you former Evangelical Protestants, former Charismatic Catholics, or any of you who remember "the good ole days" (which have passed into oblivion thankfully) of the PTL Club, 700 Club, Lawrence Welk Show, etc, and especially if you love to cringe with exquisite repulsion, get a hearty laugh, and be reminded again why you are NOT a member anymore of a Catholic Church that is desperately trying to be "hip" and "with it" and compete with an equally embarrassing Evangelical Church; or if you are simply a cradle Orthodox Christian who wants another reason to thank God for blessing you with having been born into the true beauty and sanity of Holy Apostolic Orthodoxy, then watch this video:

After less than one minute, I had clicked the off button.

Lord have mercy.

It is truly hideous. Or as my Orthodox ex-protestant friends are so fond of saying, it is "hiddifying".

Is there any reason to look at it for even a second ?

It is only the nerdiest christian music video ever... At first it looks like a parody but then you realise these guys are serious, which they are. It is from 1983 on some Christian variety show in the USA I think. So it is not that it offensive in any way, it is just that it is so poorly done.

I clicked on the link and it said: "an error occurred, try again later." I can take a hint.
Although Evangelicals have a certain robustness about their faith, I find it somewhat offensive when they carry on about "Jesus is my friend." Our Lord and God and Saviour is not "a friend.", He is, as the Sinai Icon proclaims "Pantocrator."
A little more reverence and humility would not come amiss.
