I do not mind people saying something to the effect of "I personally don't believe in the super defined toll houses some speak of." But to call toll houses a gnostic heresy is a very unhealthy attitude consider many great saints including Saint Theophan the Recluse, Saint Basil the new, the Optina Elders and others believed in the defined version of toll houses. Saint Anthony the Great and other fathers of the Philokalia allude to them... indeed it is a very disturbing tone that some of the loud voices crying out against toll houses have.

You'll be amazed of how Saint Seraphim of Platina writes in his books. Especially the Soul after Death is really amazing!

This is my fourth book by him. I certainly love him and his work. :)

P.S. Did the Church declare him a Saint? If so that would be so great!

Is the Church talking about declaring Fr. Seraphim (Rose) a Saint?

If I may make a recommendation - read Fr Serafim's letters to Fr Alexey Young.

Fr Serafim
