"Translation of what Macron says to Iranians :
"We brought Khomeini to your country via Air France to slaughter you.
We respect your sovereignty.
If you, the people of Iran, want regime change, step up.
So our favorite regime can kill you"

Iran commentary by top observers

Re: Iran commentary by top observers
"What world owes Iranians
Iranian civilisation, among the world’s oldest continuous cultures, shaped humanity, influencing art, science, governance. Its scholars’ texts were core in European universities for ages.
Let’s break it down:
Over 2,500 years ago, Cyrus the Great built an empire from the Mediterranean to the Indus River, introducing diplomacy, cultural respect, and human rights. His Cyrus Cylinder is considered the world’s first human rights charter.
Al-Khwarizmi (c. 780–850 CE), the father of algebra, introduced methods for solving equations, advanced computation, and Hindu-Arabic numerals, laying the foundations of modern algorithms.
Avicenna (Abu Ali Ibn Sina, 980–1037 CE) systematised human anatomy and surgical techniques; his landmark book, The Canon of Medicine, became the backbone of medieval and modern medicine.
Omar Khayyam (1048–1131 CE) advanced algebra, calendar reform, and astronomy, calculating the solar year more accurately than contemporary European scholars.
Jalaladdin Rumi (1207–1273 CE), one of the most influential poets in history, developed philosophical and ethical frameworks focusing on justice, tolerance, and social cohesion, influencing literature, philosophy, and psychology worldwide.
Saadi (1210–1291 CE) codified principles of morality, leadership, and law in his Gulistan and Bustan; one of his poems is inscribed at the United Nations gates:
“Human beings are members of a whole,
In creation of one essence and soul.”
Persians developed qanat irrigation systems to bring water to arid lands and yakhchal refrigeration techniques — early forms of refrigeration and climate control.
Their satrapy system (provincial governance) and Royal Road enabled efficient administration and communication across vast territories.
Achaemenid and Sassanian architecture at sites like Persepolis, Pasargadae, and Susa set the foundations for later West and Central Asian styles, and Iran’s gardens, carpets, and monumental ruins remain iconic testaments to that enduring aesthetic influence.
Even today, Iranian culture shapes literature, cinema, science, and innovation, with breakthroughs in nanotechnology and medical research."

Re: Iran commentary by top observers
It shows in the many jokes that were made by Americans about the "STRAIT" of Hormuz vs. h's, how badly the mindset has been taken over by this phenomenon.
I would NEVER have thought of that association !
However, this map does point out clearly WHERE the h's are localized in the Persian Gulf region : left-liberal-is not reali puppet, Dubai.
Recall that is not real has a terribly high percentage [40+% ?] of h's in the [fast declining population as millions have fled to Cyprus, Greece and Argentina.
Supposedly 15 planes took off today, which was speculated to be is not reali govt figures fleeing en masse. Whatever the reason, the is not reali population took another dip]

Ryan Grim, the journalist who I think 1st uncovered the Twitter post of Shehbaz Sharif as having been drawn up by the White House and sent to the Pakistani PM to post, made this suggestion in the clip below awhile before the 2-week ceasefire was announced.
It's educational to listen to the story of how the Cuban Missile Crisis was handled by the US at that time. Such a tactic may help somewhere.
Ryan Grim quick bio from wikipedia :
"Ryan W. Grim (born March 23, 1978) is an American author and journalist. Grim was Washington, D.C., bureau chief for HuffPost and formerly the Washington, D.C., bureau chief for The Intercept. In July 2024, Grim and The Intercept's co-founder Jeremy Scahill left The Intercept to co-found Drop Site News...
In 2023, Grim obtained and published a leaked Pakistani diplomatic cable alleging U.S. State Department pressure on the Pakistani government to remove Prime Minister Imran Khan from office in 2022."
Jeremy Scahill wrote the superb book which I read at the time :
Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army (2007)
He is Catholic, as probably Ryan Grim is also, looking at his schooling.
Both writers are on the 'progressive' side of the spectrum.
But they do excellent work uncovering many topics that would never see the light of day otherwise.

There is no surety that the updates are all over for good, but we'll wait and see how things develop
"Im going to miss watching brother Ebrahim Zolfaghari's updates.
39 Days, 99 Waves, this is the best clip :
"Hey, Trump, you’re fired!
You’re familiar with this sentence : Thank you for your attention to this matter.""

Re: Iran commentary by top observers
Not all are happy about this "ceasefire"
Here's the argument of a very pro-Iran and anti-Zionist Englishman to add some perspective. True or partly so or not, hard to tell at this point.
"The coup has already begun, and the assassination of Brigadier-General Majid Khademi was the trigger.
An invisible, sophisticated strategist, he was the glue holding together a system challenged by war on multiple fronts.
The Jewish supremacists and their American servants are looking for their Delcy Rodriguez, and in Iran they are very fortunate — since they have not one Delcy but an entire congregation.
Rouhani, Zarif and Araghchi, all of whose hands toiled to create the surrender treaty with the Americans, are lining up to sell off the Islamic Republic for the sake of their liberalism and vanity.
Just as the assassination of Sayyed Ra'isi brought the curse of Pezeshkian, zombie liberalism has been empowered once again by the hand of the Mossad through the murder of Khademi.
And the fruits of their labour are immediate: a surrender signed by Araghchi within days of Khademi's murder, with the National Security Council apparently failing to rein in Araghchi's erratic behaviour."

Could be true about that last. One minute he was saying Iran won't deal with the US or Pakistan at all. Then suddenly a post thanking his 'brothers' Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir for the role they ostensibly played. Perhaps they secretly agreed to NOT use the Pakistani Army to help Saudi Arabia against Teheran.
But otherwise, it looked very strange.
Comment by Jackson Hinkle - though he is a pro-Communist, it may have merit - and another person :
"Iran never should have agreed to a temporary ceasefire
The U.S. is deploying more marines & ground forces as we speak — and they're resupplying more interceptor missiles...
By the way, why is the 10-point Iranian proposal submitted by Foreign Minister Araghchi reportedly different than Iran's Supreme National Security Council's 10-point proposal?"
https://x.com/jacksonhinklle/status/2041941903193903318
"There's a lot of gnashing of teeth from Iranian nationalists and their partisans that Iran was "fooled again" or that the remaining leaders are too libbed out since the based ones all got taken out.
I agree, obviously the US was not sincere in offering that ceasefire. But quite honestly, "getting fooled" or playing along with it in the moment was not a bad play for Iran.
First of all, Trump was in a very dangerous and volatile moment. After the "Civilization ending" post he needed a way to climb down from such a dramatic moment. The ceasefire provided that.
Of course, just hours later really, it fell apart because there's obviously no real agreement. But we are no longer in the dangerously heightened mood we were in just 24 hours ago.
Importantly, the Iranians have not done anything irreversible. They haven't given up their uranium, or given up any missiles. They even still have Hormuz sewn up tight.
Everything is more chaotic, but there hasn't been too much change of consequence. I don't think Iran is in a spectacularly worse position than before.
However, if they can throw Rouhani, Pezeshkian, Zarif and friends into a bunker with no telecommunication to chill out for the rest of the war, that might just help out a lot with Iran's bid to keep its sovreignty."
Re: Iran commentary by top observers
Turkish account named for the Sultan Baybars, who was Turkish in origin. It's a name used by Turks today.
Sultan Baybars was the Mamluk ruler of Egypt and Syria, just for historical education.
This is the Turkish spelling of Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi's name in the post.
"TIME Magazine's cover
Amid global tensions, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Arakçi stands out with his calm and resolute diplomatic approach.
Seen by some as the "hero of our time," Arakçi is making headlines by criticizing double standards in world politics"
