I think we should abandon tecnhology as much as possible since it seems to drive away the grace of God.

So leave. You sound like a hypocrite. Why post? Do what you profess.

You interjected the words "sound like" in order to euphemize your judgment. In other words you were judging me in that you think I'm a hypocrite. God is too smart to fall for euphemisms. He sees judgements and sins as they are. People are so dishonest. You will never progress spiritually unless you work with all your might to defeat the passions. This applies to all of us. Please forgive me if I have ever sinned against you or anyone here in word, deed or thought. Thank you.

I don't understand why people don't want to give 100%.

Shall we go back to hand copying the Scriptures? [Of course, it could be a beneficial exercise.]

I read somewhere but cant remember where that we when we are reading Scripture or the Fathers we should write down passages that particurly strike us.

Wasnt writing out the Scriptures a Monastic task so that they would stick in the mind?

Evfimy,

Please forgive me if I have ever sinned against you or anyone here in word, deed or thought.

I hope your future posts will reflect this repentence. BTW. I wasn't judging. I was making an observation. Observations change with the circumstance. Judgement is God's alone and is final.

But, you do tend to make alot of comments of your own; review your posts. You even called one thread, "lame". How do you think that made the poster feel?

Take out the log in your eye first...

I forgive you.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

But I had a reality check when I actually saw how pathetic the people were. Extremsist groups like Etna, Gregory in Colorado, etc has caused me to doubt the authenticity of Orthodox Christianity even in these days to be honest with you.

It's ironic how they hide behind a cloak of canons and dogma's (super-correctness) and try to defend the truth, but it can backfire and lead people away to the opposite direction if they are not careful.

I cannot emphasize enough the importance for people to avoid Gregory and others like him as much as possible. They are extremely dangerous. It is people like him who have caused me to doubt the Orthodox Church.

I agree with every word of this quote.

An "observation" is the same thing as a judgement in this context. It's just another way of saying you were judging me. You can't fool God. Euphemisms don't get by God. He sees the true intent of the heart.

I don't claim to be infallible. Follow your bishop and priest, provided they are truly Orthodox.

No it's not. It's really a concern. And I am fully aware that God knows my heart. I have a conscience.

But, I see that you are still on the defensive. You missed the whole point.

Let it go and move on. The Great Lent is approaching and you need to find peace in your heart.

Try to make conversation, instead of having arguements.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)
