Compendium of BpAlexander [Mileant]'s work released

Post by Barbara »

"A large number of English-language articles by Bishop Alexander (Mileant, 1938-2005) of blessed memory has been published in a book titled “Orthodox Christianity.”

The large paper-bound book contains 492 pages and includes articles on a broad scope of topics on Orthodox Christianity: teachings, history, dogmatics and morality. The reader is offered an all-encompassing overview of the Orthodox faith, its essence and meaning, and most importantly, advice on its practical application in daily life. One might say that this compendium is a “mini-course” on Orthodox seminary training."

++++++++++++++++

The description at that link gives the helpful hint when Amazon searching to put in "Mileant". That's a good idea to tip off readers and buyers. We have all hunted on Amazon only to find only other book titles or no results when we KNOW very well that our particular book is available.

In this case, the title : "Orthodox Christianity" could bring up a thousand results, tiring the most indefatigable reader.
This is a great shortcut suggestion to save time and eliminate that frustration of sifting through a lot of disgusting or stupid books which can come up on the search if we don't have the exact right information.

The book sound good. It surely must be long overdue, as readers around the world would want to have a handy volume comprising all or most of Bp Alexander's material rather than sift through the old leaflets. I am sure most people here remember those. I have some printouts from the internet, too, of his articles.

Rather, Bishop Alexander (Mileant) of sorrowful memory. His memory is not blessed, but marred by the heresy which he publicly promulgated. No reason to promote this heretic.

What heresy did he promote?

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

Cyprian, are you perhaps believing that Bishop Alexander of South America [Old Rocor] was a Name-Worshipper ?
Or was it some other heresy you thought he espoused ?

Have you forgotten Maria and Barbara? We've already been over this, in an older thread.

ROCOR was publicly confessing heresy in 1998 when he was consecrated a bishop. So he was consecrated a bishop in a heretical synod which had already fallen under its own anathema.

There are countless heresies just in this one blasphemous piece of rubbish. This is by far the most pitiful work I have ever read coming from a ROCOR bishop.

Anyone who thinks this writing is Orthodox, or even acceptable or tolerable, is in no way Orthodox themselves.

Bishop Alexander (Mileant)

Bishop Alexander also listed Fatima, Medjugorje etc. as appearances of the Mother of God, lending these deceptions an air of credibility.

One ROCOR priest called Bp. Alexander a "liberal" and an "ecumenist". A long time matushka in ROCOR publicly stated that the old bishops of ROCOR laughed Bp. Alexander to scorn for his modernistic views on things like evolution. These statements are in the archives of Paradosis if you wish to track it down.

Bishop Alexander taught that you and I are derived from apes. Bishop Alexander taught that God is the author of death.
St. Necatarius declared of those who believe in the derivation of man from the apes, that they have rejected the Spirit, and the Spirit has abandoned them.

What are we left to conclude, but that the Spirit abandoned Bp. Alexander?
