A recent article highlighting the Holy Trinity Chapel overlooking the Russian base in Antarctica appeared in the New York Times and excerpted by the Kansas City Star.
Two nice pictures are found here : of the ethereal looking chapel itself, which was made from logs shipped all the way from Siberia, and the MP priest ringing the bells.
Services are carried on for the 14 or so staff of the Russian base.
It would be interesting to see their Nativity in Antarctica. The NYT sent their reporter back in November, too early, unfortunately for some even more striking photos. We'll settle for this, though :
