A more serious example of political canonization is the canonization of Luka Voinio-Yasenetski (1877-1961), a doctor and bishop of Moscow Patriarchate. He was ery involved in Sergianizm and he praised Joseph Stalin and he received an award from Stalin right when millions of Christians were being killed in Soviet Concentration camps. He was a good example of what Patriarch Sergious said for foreign countries: "There are no persecutions, Church enjoys freedom in Soviet Russia". Such "saint" was badly needed for Moscow Patriarchate and now he is more then popular. He is one of the main saints in MP now.
And the main book of Luka Voinio-Yasenetski "Spirit, Soul, Body" is very occult, it describes many things from church history as a real occultism.
I heard his life was translated into English to make him popular everywhere. But do not believe it. I do not know about this particular book (I did not read it), but I know how Moscow Partiarchate changes the facts in other lives to create the picture that they need.
But poor Moscow Patriarcate has found only two or three people like this who were sergianists and could be at least somehow canonized. All the rest cases were unacceptable, so MP had to change the lives of saints that did not recognize it to "adopt" these sains. Many people of MP even do not know, that most of the new martyrs from their list were against their church.
