There will be more in the Church Abroad changing juristictions in the near future.
Those who criticise this move obviously know nothing about what is happening in the Synod, and believe everything they read in print about what is happening in Russia and the MP.
Their move took place a couple of months ago.

I saw this info (that ROCOR members are not to receive communion at the monastery) posted on another list by a ROCOR member in Vladyka's diocese.

Peter,

I saw something similar, but was there an ukase issued or what?

Without an ukase, it's hearsay.

Jurisdictional change appears to be de rigeuer in the United States... to an outside observer (ie non-USA based), it's almost like you arent Orthodox in the USA unless you jurisdiction hop (using whatever flavour-of-the-month issue as an excuse to justify the hop.)

Please let us, who know nothing about what is going on in the Synod, know why there will be more changes in the near future please.

In the metropolitan area near where I live, the priests from three of the 4 or 5 ROCOR parishes have recently "hopped" jurisdictions, all for unrelated reasons.:(

Our problems in the Synod stem from our relationship; or rather lack of relationship with the MP. This also affects how other juristictions view us.
Some in the Church Abroad feel that the mandate to exist outside of the MP is over, or should be over soon, including myself. There are others who I feel will never want to see reconciliation with the MP.
I have not heard that Bishop Gabriel has forbidden communion at the monastery by ROCOR members, although I am sure there are some who would like that.

I'd think you're in the majority of laymen priests and heirarchs there. Otherwise the ROCA wouldn't've called for the Great Russian Council or asked the Serbians to help set up diologue for the ROCA to be absorbed by the MP.
