Am I missing something here or what? Granted, it is the OCA, but back in the 60s the Metropolia was a little bit more conservative that is now, and yet, you see this lady, not only marry again after the repose of her husband, an Orthodox clergyman, but to be called a Preoteasa (Matushka/Presbytera) after marrying someone else (probably not even Orthodox, by his name) is really pushing it too far … :ohvey:

The remarriage of Presbyteras after the death of their husbands is a topic of debate in the canonical tradition. I would not judge any person who fell short of the ideal of one marriage, whether layman, or presbytera. The canons exist for order, but Trullo 102 frames them all in their medicinal context, the bishop as shepherd and physician carrying out the application. If I recall correctly, Ivan Andreyev was married to a widowed presbytera.

I would agree with you, however, that to continue to use the label after contracting another marriage, is a bit difficult to accept.

He could just as easily be an OCA priest with a name like that, given the percentage of converts.
