Traditional/Old Calendar Churches in Florida

Post by Kybihetz21 »

Brethren:

I have posted this question before, but since it has been a while, I would like to know if there are any updates on this. I am interested to know the locations of all the Old Calendar parishes/communities in the state of Florida. I am not trying to start some sort of controversy, so even if you don’t agree with their ecclesiology, I am interested in ALL of the groups out there (Greeks, Russians, Milan Synod, etc.). I will really appreciate any help on this.

For the information :D
BTW, they (the communities) all seem to be in the Greek
Orthodox tradition (order and language of the services); are there
any Russian/Slavic ones that anyone knows about? Just curious.

I believe that the pastor of this Temple has left the Church after leading some souls into the abyss of ecumenism and sergianism.

The Chapel lost its priest but is still physically there. I am not sure what the status is in terms of people attending, etc. Basically it is a chapel for English and Russian speaking people inside the larger Greek parish.

There are 1000s of Russians in Florida (just go to a ROCOR or OCA
parish on Pascha :P )
I just wish that at least one of the traditional Russian groups
would have some sort of community anywhere in the Florida area.
Is the Chapel/Mission in GA the closest one in the Slavic tradition?

Thanks once again.

Miguel
