I think it would be a positive step toward adding legitimacy to this thoroughly uncanonical innovation...

Love is a holy state of the soul, disposing it to value knowledge of God above all created things. We cannot attain lasting possession of such love while we are attached to anything worldly. —St. Maximos The Confessor

CHRIST IS RISEN!
I replied "no" because ecumenism is not based on the calendar issue, per se. It is based on heretical teachings of union with all religions, whether they believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah or not. It's our theological and spiritual convictions that make us the true brothers and sisters in Christ. We may argue that there are individual clergy and laymen that follow the Orthodox path despite their association to ecumenical synods, but what it comes down to is the convictions of the Patriarchs, Metropolitans and bishops that lead the flock. They are the ones that make the decisions and they are the ones that are responsible for confessing the True Faith of Orthodoxy. If these hierarchs fall to the belief that all religions are equal, then they are the ones who will answer to God for their actions and betrayal to the Christ. But, there will always be a hierarch who is faithful and he(they) will be led by God and those who want to worship Christ in the full truth will be led with them. Where these hierarchs are now...I do not know. It is a very confusing time.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)
