George, I agree.
When I was younger, we would play many video games at my cousins' houses, as we didn't have any at home. TrueLies was a fav of mine, as well as RoadRash... we would find extra amusement by shooting or running over civilians (great laughs were achieved when in RoadRash you'd hit an old lady with a walker, and you could hear her say "Help, I've fallen & I can't get up!") while we persued the bad guys or tried to win the race. Now that I've grown up (aged a bit anyway), I think that was rather crude of us, and though I know I would never find that happening in real life amusing, it's rather unsettling that I would in a virtual reality. Now-a-days my brother plays Blackhawk Down, and Total War, and watching it I can't understand how people can dirive pleasure from these sorts of things (though admitedly I like playing SimCity, and Age of Empires from time to time, rarely though, as we have no video game systems or pc games at home).
