The Western American Diocesan Conference Ends; Pastoral Conference Begins

In accordance with the Regulations of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, a Diocesan Conference of the Western American Diocese was held at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in San Francisco on 23-24 March. Diocesan Conferences are held every three years and all parishes elect a delegate for the conference. Great Lent Confession of the Australian Clergy

During the second week of Great Lent, March 25-27, a conference and retreat of the clergy of the Australian-New Zealand Diocese was held. The clergy gathered at the Diocesan Administration office in Croydon (near Sydney) at 4 p.m. on 25 March. After a cup of in the bishops' residence, the Three Canons and akathist were read. Then the Great Lenten service, during which the clergy stood in the altar and made confession in various parts of the church. Archbishop Mark and a Group of Pilgrims Depart for Jerusalem for Passion Week and Pascha

His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany flew out of Munich along with a group of pilgrims through Greece (with a half-day layover in Athens), bound for the Holy Land. Despite the military events, this pilbgrimage was eagerly awaited by the faithful, especially since it included Passion Week, Pascha and Bright Week. The expected group of 20 was in fact doubled. Some who had departed for the Holy Land independently, unable to obtain tickets with the group, will join them there (there were 20 people on the waiting list). Because of the absence of Vladyka Mark, the Paschal services in the Cathedral of the Holy New Martyrs of Russia in Munich will be led by His Grace Bishop Agapit of Stuttgart. He will spend Passion Week in Stuttgart, arriving in Munich for Pascha...

The First Hierarchal Service in the New Parish of St. John the Russian

By the mercy of God, the new Parish of St. John the Russian in Lyon, France, celebrated its first-ever hierarchal service. His Grace Bishop Gabriel of Manhattan arrived in Lyon on 10 May.
