Saint John of San Francisco concelebrated with and communed New Calendarists from the Greek Archdiocese. He did this all the way up until his death.

I won't mention Fr. Seraphim Rose because this site seems to be 50/50 on whether or not he was a saint.

Thank you for your prayers. He is better back home but there will be a recovery period of unkwown duration and with an unkown outcome for now in order to recover as much as possible strength, capacity of talking etc.

Unfortunately, my father, like last year had once again yesterday this type of stroke, maybe a bit more serious. He can only make small sentences (an improvement compared to yesterday) but remains in hospital under observation. May I ask for your prayers once again?

A reality in the French-speaking word is that the vocabulary of people has been going down, including the knowledge of several words. A teacher of religion (orthodox) explained me that she had to explain some basic words that were entirely unknown, or misunderstood (among orthodox pupils).

I also see the other side where in Russia today, the MP has almost completely abolished the usage of Slavonic and moved everything to modern Russian -- with the hope people will actually understand what is happening in the Liturgy -- but the people there are so secular and atheistic than even in ...

As far as I know, she was indeed given Was the name Angelina for St Angelina [Brankovic] of Serbia.

Do you know WHEN Mother Angelina was the Abbess ?
Had to be before Abbess Makrina, but directly before ?
Or some years earlier ?

I too am surprised at Met Demetrios' serving the pannikhida, but maybe he was the only clergyman around at the time ...
