Re: MP and ROCOR-MP were branches. Who knew?

I've partially translated the French but have in the meantime figured out that it's a French translation of an interview in Russian from pravoslavie.ru:

I doubt that anyone wants to read a translation of a translation. A machine translation of the original will ...

Re: MP and ROCOR-MP were branches. Who knew?

There is an affirmed Orthodox understanding of "Branches" by the Catacomb Church, in the Usk-Kut Catacomb council of 1937... It also affirmed the anathema against the Communists, and the Sergianist Church, and forbid receiving communion from the Soviet Church.

Re: ROCOR-A Glorifies Fr Seraphim Rose, Service Released

There was some appropriate exclamation. Like how people say “Axios!” at the consecration of a bishop. I just can't remember for the life of me what it was that the laity say.

Yes. In the letter I linked to, he described himself as "editor, publisher, clerk & chief bottle-washer of the St. John of Kronstadt Press" beginning in 1979.

MP and ROCOR-MP were branches. Who knew?

I found a 2017 interview in French with Bishop Mark of the ROCOR-MP on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the capitulation to Moscow. The article is in the ecumenism section of the papist diocese of Paris. In the introduction to the interview, Bishop Tikhon (Shekhunov) explicitly frames the ...

Re: ROCOR-A / ROCA: Who are they? What is their history?

Father Gregory Williams, who reposed in 2016, was mentioned above. Here's a link to an open letter he wrote (evidently in 2009) concerning the history of ROCOR-A. Very good background information.
