  • Welcome!
Saint Basil of Kineshma Orthodox Christian Church was a traditional Eastern Orthodox Christian Church founded by The Very Reverend Archpriest Dionysi McGowan. The parish followed the Old Julian or Ecclesiastical Calendar for its Liturgical observances and was located in the Archeparchy of Denver and Colorado of the Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church (ROAC). The ROAC's roots are from the persecuted Catacomb Churches of Russia that were forced underground when the Soviet powers tried to crush the true Orthodox Christian Faith. This parish was the first of many American parishes to have been established under the omophorion of His Eminence, The Very Most Reverend Metropolitan VALENTINE of Suzdal and Vladimir; First-Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church Synod in 2001. In 2007, His Grace, The Right Reverend Vicar Bishop ANDREI of Pavlovskoye, the current Administrator of the ROAC in America, closed the mission church and it's public chapel.
    Current Status
This site remains as an online depository of information on Saint Basil of Kineshma, various historical Orthodox Christianity articles, traditionalist Orthodox news, and true Orthodoxy links. The site is no longer associated with, nor owned by Fathers Dionysi McGowan and Nikolai Stanosheck, the two clergymen that ran this site during various times from March 2001 through March 2007, nor is it run by any clergymen or laymen of the Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church. It is instead run by one of the many previous parishioners of the now-closed church. The site is dedicated to all the parishioners that still claimed Saint Basil of Kineshma Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church as their spiritual home when it was closed out from under them, including Nicholas, David, Nathanael, Basil, Juvenaly, Sergei, Andrew, Seraphim, Elizabeth, Anastasia, Nikita, Svetlana, Katherine, Rachel, Maria, Stephanie, Junia, and Lua.
