Welcome to the interactive map of traditional Orthodox churches throughout the world. Currently, we have only mapped the churches we know of in North and South America. We hope to soon add Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania to the map as well. Please contact us via the message board if you know of any corrections or additions that should be made to this map.

You may be wondering what all of these different colored pointers on the map mean. Well for those of you looking for a church of a specific jurisdiction, we have color coded by Church. In alphabetical order, the strict ecclesiology Churches we have listed are: The Genuine Greek Orthodox Churches including the Hellenic Orthodox Traditionalist Church in America (GOC/HOTCA) is crimson red; The Free Russian Orthodox Church/Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church (FROC/ROAC) is lime green; The Matthew True Orthodox Christian Church (MTOX) is yellow orange; The Russian Orthodox Church in Exile (ROCiE-V) is royal blue; and The Tikhonite Russian True Orthodox Church (RTOC) is violet purple.

There are also different sized pointers. The large pointers with a black dot in the middle signify a cathedral church or a church with a bishop in residence, while smaller pointers signify the mission chapels, parish churches, convents, hermitages, monasteries, sketes, et al.

There are many ways to find a local church to your location you are moving to or visiting. One way is to click on a pointer in the area you are going, which will allow you to zoom in to that church or get directions to and from it. Another way is to use the zoom bar on the left of the map and zoom to your area and then click on the pointer to find directions to or from your location. The third way is to scroll down and find a church listed by continent, country, state/province and city. Just click on the name and on the map (you may have to scroll back up) a balloon will pop up allowing you to zoom in on the church, it get directions to or from it. You also may want to experiment with the map by clicking on the buttons in the upper-right hand corner which give you different interesting views.

We used publicly available information to create this map, so the map is only as accurate as those sources. Please be sure to visit the church's web site (if applicable) and email and/or call the contact person to verify the location and service times. We have heard reports that Internet Explorer may render this page wrong, so for best viewing, as always, you will probably want to use a standards-compliant web browser like Firefox or Opera.
