A friend of mine has the SF Cathedral book. It's basically a bi-lingual(russian and english) "coffee table" type book with lots of great pictures and history. Definately looks like it's worth picking up even if it's just for the great photographs.

E-mail Father Deacon Dimitri at the SF Cathedral at FrDcnDimitri@aol.com and he'll give you information on how to get the book. I plan to order it.

NOT OF THIS WORLD

Post by Lounger »

In the preface to the new censored version of his
1993 biography of Fr Seraphim, NOT OF THIS WORLD, Fr
Damascene (ordained by the apostate MP in 1992) writes
in his preface that he submitted his revamped text to
representatives of World Orthodoxy for their
approval(!), specifically members of the OCA, the
GOA, the MP, the Antiochians---as if NOT OF THIS WORLD
were not the record of Fr Seraphim's righteous insight
that THESE VERY BODIES have betrayed Orthodoxy. Has
anything changed in these last 10 years? No. And yet
Fr Damascene assures us that he has done the right
thing, for now he is "reconciled to the Church," as if
the Fathers taught that the Church and heresy
(ecumenism) coexist.

I thought Fr. Hieromonk Damascene was ROCOR and was at the Monastary in RI?

Wrong Heiromonk Demascene. You are thinking of Heiromonk James of Christ Our Saviour Monastery in Providence, RI. His last name may be Demascene, but unlike Latins we Orthodox never call monks by their last names.
