That would be the Hieromonk Damacene of St. Herman's brotherhood in Platina, the same one who wrote Not of this World.

Why? Did you like that book? Actually, when I read it a few years back, I really liked it. I think that it is a little unnatural, an obvious westerner tying to write like a ancient Chinese philosopher but, other than that, I think the thesis of the book is fair enough and I really enjoyed it. It is strange, I have heard a lot of people critisize the book but I know of two people that were involved in eastern religions that where greatly influenced by that book and eventually became Orthodox (one of them is a novice in a monostery).
