Elizabeth was just baptized the day before she died.
She had been suffering from cancer.
Please remember her and her family in your prayers.

Memory eternal. Actually, it is a great blessing for her as she was newly baptized. What day did she fall asleep in Christ?

Indeed. God is glorified in His Saints.
I remember the priest mentioning at Great Vespers on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, that Elizabeth was newly Illuminated. Then the very next morning, on Sunday of the Pharisee and Publican, February 5, 2012, he said that she had just fallen asleep in Christ after having suffering for many years with cancer that had spread throughout her body. He said that sometimes a lengthy illness will bring us to our senses. She apologized to all whom she had offended before asking for Holy Baptism.
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
Suffering cleanses the soul. Was she baptized in your parish? Sunday was also the commemoration of the Holy New Martyrs of Russia...St. Elizabeth being one of them. I venerated a relic of St. Elizabeth on Sunday, in my parish. Tomorrow will be the 3rd day of Elizabeth's repose. What time is the service?
Do you realize that her 40th day is on March 15/March 2...The Meeting of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? That's if my calculations are correct because I count the first day as day one.

Oops. My error. Feb. 2nd/15 is the Meeting of our Lord. Oh well. Scratch that.
