Bringing Christianity to Georgia

Post by Pravoslavnik »

Nathaniel Kapner's Church News website has been posting a great deal of late about how Vladimir Putin and modern Russia have emerged as the true champions and defenders of Orthodox Christianity, a sentiment which is no doubt shared by Fathers John Whiteford, Alexander Lebedev and the other chief advocates of the the MP-ROCOR unification. And it now appears that Mr. Putin is also endeavoring to make Georgia a more truly Christian nation:

Is it possible that the future hagiography of the Moscow Patriarchate will ennumerate Saints Vladimir (Putin) and Alexey (Ridiger) as latter day Apostles not only to the West (ROCOR), but to Georgia --along with St. Nina?
