The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

Actually it is much simpler than just looking at the balanced budget amendment--such programs that were cut are actually unconstitutional to begin with. Charity belongs in the private sector, not the public one.

Given Kerry's position on abortion, homosexual issues, and his detestable statements on Albania and Kosovo - "W" wins my vote by default.

Here is a better poll to find out which candidate you lean towards, and by what percentage, although it does appear to lean left a bit for centrists.

http://www.selectsmart.com/president/mac.html

Mine ranked as follows:

  1. Your Theoretical Candidate. (100%)
  2. Bush, President George W. - Republican (82%)
  3. Badnarik, Michael - Libertarian (60%)
  4. Peroutka, Michael - Constitution Party (39%)
  5. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (34%)
  6. Cobb, David - Green Party (10%)
  7. Nader, Ralph - Independent (10%)
  8. Brown, Walt - Socialist Party (5%)

Can't say I think much of something that says I should have voted for Lyndon Larouche!

It said that I don't have any ideal candidate, & I can't vote for Nader, as he didn't make the ballot in VA. Probably going to go Libertarian though.

Your Results:

  1. Your ideal theoretical candidate. (100%)
  2. Cobb, David - Green Party (61%)
  3. Nader, Ralph - Independent (61%)
  4. Brown, Walt - Socialist Party (54%)
  5. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (51%)
  6. Bush, President George W. - Republican (48%)
  7. Badnarik, Michael - Libertarian (35%)
  8. Peroutka, Michael - Constitution Party (29%)
