This Sunday evening we will have the only "Supermoon" of 2017. I do not care to call it a "Supermoon" as it is just a full moon at perigee, but I do find it interesting. I hope it is not cloudy here that night: http://www.newsweek.com/supermoon-2017- ... oon-728118

Re: Supermoon 2017
The moon is already quite large when there are no clouds covering it.
It is beautiful.
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
Re: Supermoon 2017
Overcast here ; yet one can see more light in the fog than usual, which I assume may be due to that strong moon.
I agree : I dislike these pop terms. "Supermoon" sounds corny. Notice how many things these days are dubbed names that sound at teen or teen level mentality ?

We have a break in the weather this evening. The moon is looking pretty neat.

The moon is a tad less "super" tonight but still looks neat.

Re: Supermoon 2017
Several scientists have proposed that whenever a supermoon appears, there will be major earthquakes in diverse places.
Indeed, we have had some major earthquakes following this supermoon. One was just off the coast of Ecuador.
