Sysadmin Wanted

Post by fschmidt »

I am looking for a sysadmin to remotely manage Mac OS-X servers that run java-based web servers. We also use Postgres. Pay is $5000/month. Work from anywhere.

I realize that this is an unusual place to post a help wanted ad, but I want to work with decent people, so I am posting this ad to some unusual places. Please let me know if you are interested.

I just saw this now. I thought at first it was spam !

That's a good salary. Hope you find someone competent, fschmidt.

Glad you found a suitable staff person.
Russians, because of the socialist system's provision of free education, are usually educated fairly well, at least compared with Americans. No one can be sure how the universities there compare with ours here. During the Soviet Union, because there was little else to do, probably, many people received bachelors and masters degrees. It was fairly common. I don't know about today, though.

The Russians seem particularly talented in the arenas of computers, technology and science. Not that I believe for one second in the stupid 'Russian hacking' circus stirred up over nothing to distract the public's attention.

Many are quite qualified, so your company has probably made a good choice.

[ Ha ha - maybe you can discuss True Orthodoxy with the new Sysadmin ?! That is, if he is Orthodox. Did you have a chance to ask him ? ]
