Circumzenithal arcs typically appear in late autumn and early winter when the air is icy and the sun is low. "The CZA forms only when sun is less than 32.3° high," notes Cowley. As winter solstice approaches, "upside down rainbows" will become increasingly common. Look for them!

Maybe it means that the ___ rights movement will be turned on its head !
You can delete that sentence if you want ...

Hungtington Beach, many hours south of Oxnard, California, also experienced a hail storm that turned their beaches white.

I thought it was actual snow at first. Was this recent ?

Some people say you cannot tell the difference between a supermoon and a mini-Moon. There are no rulers floating in the sky to measure lunar diameters, and without a reference, one full Moon looks much the same as any other.

Dyer plans to find out: "With luck," he says, "7 lunations from now I will shoot the Sept 27th perigee supermoon with the same optical setup to create a big & little Moon comparison pair."
