Changes to the Sign of the cross

Post by Justice »

I recently read an article by an Oriental Orthodox priest, that the Eastern Orthodox changed the sign of the cross from left to right to right to left, does anybody know anything about this?

This is a very good question as the proper form of the Sign of the Cross dispels demons.

I was taught that the Roman Catholic Church changed the way the Sign of the Cross is made.
Perhaps that is one reason why their exorcisms do not seem as effective and take many more prayers.

This thread is better placed in Praxis, so I am moving it there.
