The World's Most Radical nun -

Post by Barbara »

1st brought up in Justice's thread which covered Weston Priory, a quite liberal "Catholic" establishment, Sister Teresa Forcades is more in the limelight these days. Tomorrow, elections closely watched by the world will take place in restive Catalonia, Spain's wealthiest and most industrialized province.

Background about the wayward so-called nun is provided by a 2013 interview by the BBC. Sister Teresa can only be more well known 4 years later.
There was an illegal referendum on October 1, 2017 to determine whether Catalans wished to secede from Spain. Grievances are mainly economic, with Catalan nationalists insisting that Madrid receives all their taxes but spends its largesse only on poorer Spanish areas like Andalusia. [ This sounds like an excuse to me. ]

However, Sister Teresa goes way beyond in her strident calls for socialism to replace capitalism. Is it socialism - or a proto-Communism ?
Her ideas of government takeover of all banks and many other radical features is terrifying Spanish officials.
The BBC reported :

"A Spanish nun has become one of Europe's most influential left-wing public intellectuals. This year, thousands have joined her anti-capitalist movement, which campaigns for Catalan independence, the reversal of public spending cuts and nationalisation of banks and energy companies.

There's no politician quite like her. She's never without her nun's headdress, and says that everything she does is born of deep Christian faith and devotion. Yet, she has been strongly critical of the church and the men who run it.

Followers of her movement, Proces Constituent, which has signed up around 50,000 Catalans this year, are mainly non-believing leftists. She won't run for office, and says she won't create a political party, but she's undeniably a political figure on a mission - to tear down international capitalism, and change the map of Spain."

Surely this sister Teresa Forcades is a front for some sinister organization. The nun's veil is only a prop. In the same interview, sister Teresa admits that the minute she feels her monastic life has become 'sacrificial', she will abandon it !
More shockingly, she favors all the usual radical social agenda, loudly criticizing the Vatican with strident tones of feminism. The fake nun supports women priests, abortion, homosexuals not only being allowed to participate in the Church but to actually serve at the altar !
This agenda can only be a Soros or similar type of operation to undermine the stability of Spain, always regarded as the most Catholic country in Europe, on religious as well as economic and political fronts. A real threat ! She looks innocuous, but is a powerful speaker, holding throngs of followers in her grip.

If this model of a socialist sister Teresa succeeds in breaking off Catalonia from Spain and pushing a ridiculously radical program, surely it will become a blueprint for attacking other countries with similar charismatic figures who arose from 'nowhere'.

PS. The fake-nun has her own Youtube channel.

She sounds like the polar opposite of Brother Nathanael. She must also argue for the ordination of women to the priesthood (which metropolitan Kallistos Ware has also preached) if I ever have a girl, I will teach her that feminism is a corrupt institution that makes women out to be victims in society and especially religion.

Yes, Justice, she does make this ridiculous demand. Isn't it terrible ?
One can see how cleverly the forces that are behind her have rolled ALL these topics together as her platform [ though she said she is not running for any office, who knows in the future ? ]. Thus the plotters are gaining ground on many fronts at the same time.

So you read that met. kallistos Beware supports this notion as well ? I would never have expected that from any purported Orthodox clergyman. Is he saying this openly, or just hinting at it ?
That is appalling. Are the Orthodox outraged about that, or is he a Teflon metropolitan, who criticisms slide away unnoticed ?

Yes, I hope Brother Nathanael could way outclass 'sister' Teresa. Convenient that she has the same name as the universally respected Mother Teresa of Calcutta [ though hardly a good Catholic ]. That way, the public was prepared decades ago by Mother Teresa's reputation for 'helping the poor' to now applaud a new sister Teresa whose calls for socialism and sweeping benefits for the poor will be easily received.

Yes, wise of you to plan ahead to enlighten a future daughter about the way feminism was cooked up and foisted on American society by Communist Betty Friedan. The 2 ideas go hand in hand. But now a new idol has been created who cannot be accused of being an ugly champion of the workers of the world : a nun. An ostensible one, that is.

You did a good job of unearthing the place called Weston Priory in New England. To have sponsored her talk there and then boast about it in their newsletter shows how leftist that self-described Benediction priory must really be.

I realize readers are not that fascinated with this dark person. However, she is a good example of the new construct for a "cool" rebellious woman that the forces controlling Western societies will replicate over and over, eventually finding a few sample Orthodox women to fling angry taunts in the face of their synods and hierarchs. Right now it's still premature. The only visible example being Sister Vassa who is radical for a Rocor-MP Orthodox nun, but is demure and orderly compared with fake-sister Teresa Forcades.

Just from a glimpse of fake-sister Teresa's life from almost adoring media interviews, we can discern a few points about how the power elite chooses their spokeswomen to overturn conservative Christianity.

Teresa got her master's degree from Harvard, an ideal recruiting ground. Along with a medical residency at an unnamed hospital in Buffalo, NY, she polished her English to what is described as near perfection. What an ideal front person for these sinister forces, and even killing 3 birds with one stone by her strident advocacy of Church radicalism, far left economic theories and tearing apart a Nato country, Spain, with this drummed up cause of Catalan secessionism.

While studying for her medical boards in 1995, Teresa told NPR's reporter that she went to her current convent ONLY seeking a quiet place to study ! After 2 years, she inexplicably took vows. There was no reason given by the supposed Benedictine nun ; the best she could come up with was the lame remark that she read the Bible for the 1st time in her life - having been born into a family of atheists significantly - and felt 'a commotion'. What on earth does that mean ? Anyone can read anything they like into that. A positive commotion or a chance to display some drama ?

Suddenly, she was, according to NPR, 'jetting off to teach feminist theology' in Germany. Whatever 'feminist theology' means !

Note the wicked looking candelabra on the left of the photo of Teresa talking somewhere - not necessarily in Germany. It looks like a pitchfork. And she looks masculine, a trendy look among some women today. Not any normal nuns, though !

We must have written that at the same time ! I added a similar remark to the photo description. Isn't that REPULSIVE ? How could she be even remotely 'popular' ? Of course, the same forces have worked hard to train the eyes of the general public in the West to view this appearance as jaunty, free, independent of any strictures or rules. Exactly the OPPOSITE of what any nun should be.

She looks more like a proletariat workman, don't you think, Maria ?

Most of her pictures are with her veil. What the viewer does not realize is that she wears the veil, I think, for effect - and of course to mock her supposed Catholic Church. The only full length photo I found was the one from NPR's 2014 interview. Note that she wears those same ugly trousers and clunky shoes which do NOT look prim or nunly at all, but disconcertingly mannish. Where is a skirt, which most all modern Catholic self-described nuns wear these days :

NPR's showcasing of fake-sister Teresa in a sentimental scene of her looking childlike and innocent standing before an olive tree at her St Benet Convent on Montserrat. This olive tree was given to her at the time of her 'vows' as a little sprig and grew to that size in the intervening years. NPR certainly barely hides its enthusiastic support for "Ms. Catalonia" while trying to picture her as a nun in order to rack up support for her from the very large American Catholic community.
