Animal Cloning and Christian ethics?

Post by Justice »

How would an Orthodox Christian approach the practice of cloning? especially cloning extinct animals. All animals are God's creation and he alone created them. Though if humans destroy an animal's habitat and forces it to die out, would it be within Christian morality to try and bring species such as the Dodo, Tasmanian tiger, and the Passenger Pigeon? Or would it be putting ourselves in God's place?
