John 15:26. There is no need to turn to the Church Fathers to understand from whom the Holy Spirit proceeds.

Ecumenical council trumps opinion of Church fathers anyway. Throw all the quotes up you want. Wrong is still wrong.

Regarding the "from the Son", it is to be understood as sent to the world by the Son. There are 2 levels : eternal spiration, from the Father only and divine economy, sent to the world by the Son.

The Orthodox are schismatic for disagreeing with the Church of Christ concernin the Filioque.
"The Holy Spirit, when he proceeds from the Father and the Son, does not separate himself from the Father and does not separate himself from the Son" (The Holy Spirit 1:2:120 [A.D. 381]).

Please read the original Nicene creed instead of your Roman Catholic innovations. And while your at it, read the early popes who contradict papals supremacy. St Ignatius's letter to Rome, for example has no mention of papal supremacy., do you also believe that the emaculate conception has always been apart of Catholic doctrine?

lol as if I don't know the original creed....the point is Filioque doesn't take away anything from the creed, the Catholic Church didn't add it out of thin air, please read what the church fathers have said...do you disagree with the quote I posted?
