Please pray for us who live in smoke-filled California

Please pray for those of us who live in smoke-filled Southern California.

Our brave fire departments have already contained three fires that were previously burning in Monterey County (NoCal), San Bernardino and in San Diego, but now there are two more fires, one in Santa Barbara and a huge one in San Diego near Camp Pendleton that has consumed close to 1600 acres and is only 25 percent controlled. We are under a high wind advisory for the next two days coupled with 90+ degree heat that makes controlling these fires particularly difficult.

There are now three more fires burning in San Diego: Tomahawk, Highway, and Poinsettia.

There must be some fire bugs who are setting these fires. Please pray that they will be apprehended.

Cal State San Marcos has just been evacuated.

There is also a fire in Tijuana, Mexico, just south of the border.

Carlsbad, California (CNN) -- Southern California firefighters were fighting five wildfires Wednesday in and around San Diego, prompting at least 23,000 evacuation notices to residents, businesses, schools and parts of a Marine Corps installation.

30 homes have burned.

A state fire official told the Associated Press 30 homes had burned in Carlsbad. Fox 5 reported Wednesday that officials said they know of at least three homes that have been totally destroyed and 15 that have been damaged or destroyed. No injuries have been reported.

Gasp ! I only vaguely heard of ONE fire. This is TERRIBLE !
It does sound malicious that there would be so many at one time !
I guess the high heat could be a major factor, though.

Where we live in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, the entire basin is filled with smoke.
Children, pregnant women, and the elderly are particularly suffering.
