Our Nativity Service

Post by Priest Antonios »

Please keep us in your prayers coming into Holy Nativity. We just got word that both my wife's parents (pastor in the church of the nazarene) and my parents (a counselor for a baptist church) are coming to our deacons Typica. Lord, have mercy!

In Christ,
Dcn Antonios

Through the prayers of the Theotokos, may the Lord grant them health and salvation.

Praise the Lord!

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

Well, thank you. At least no one walked out!

I did get one small lecture. But, that's normal and it was nothing that ruffled my feathers, thank God.

The meal after the service went well and everyone seemed to enjoy visiting.

Thanks again for your prayers.

Glad to hear that there was relative peace and harmony.
That is sometimes unbelievably difficult to attain anywhere today.
I am glad they didn't complain or ridicule you.
That can be detrimental when the accuser is a relative by marriage. You can't escape those in-laws !

Did any of the 4 express any interest in learning more about Orthodoxy ??
Did they hate the icons, being Protestant/ Evangelical [the Nazarenes. I have known one person in that place.
Nazarenes are VERY 'fundamentalist.]
