YAHOO account users - accounts are being hacked

Post by Maria »

Attention Yahoo users:

Several members here have had their yahoo accounts hacked.

Please change your passwords at Yahoo to a more secure password. If that does not work, then consider using another email service.

Your password at Yahoo, Gmail, or GMX should contain Upper and Lower case Letters, Numbers, and at least one of the following symbols: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( )

It is recommended that you change all your passwords at least once a month, and that it be at least 8 characters long.

Never use your username as a password even if you change a few letters to numbers or symbols as hackers know that trick.
For example if you have username as your account name, do not use us3rn@m3 or Us3rN@m3 for your password.

Make sure that none of your passwords are used anywhere else. One password per account. If hackers discover your password at Yahoo or at another email service provider, then those hackers can apply that password to all your other accounts to see if it fits. Surveys have found that many people use the same password for all their accounts, and hackers know this all too well.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

In Christ,

Maria
