I found this post on a myspace bulletin.
I am writing to ask for help for my Spiritual Father, Fr Lawrence of Etna,
CA. I got your email address from your church website, to which I went
after finding your MySpace site listed on his MySpace site, as one of his
friends.
He is very sick right now. He has wood that needs to get chopped and
packed
up for winter, and is in no fit condition to do it himself. I don't think
he has enough money to pay someone to get it done, either. In addition,
another problem he is having is that his computer monitor is dying and he
is
in danger of going out of communication.
I am writing to ask for help from you and anyone you know who can help
him.
I pray fervently for him every day, and am worried about him. Is there any
way at all that you or anyone from your parish could help to get the wood
in
- perhaps by donating to the hermitage so that he has money to hire
someone,
or what have you? Do you know anyone in the area who could donate him a
computer monitor, or just buy one over the net and have it sent to him?
I worry about him. I'm all the way over in Australia and do what I can
from
here.

Fr. Lawrence needs our help! Please help him. His is sick with diverticulitis and severe back problems according to Anastasia. If you cannot aid him financially, please keep him in your prayers. This is not a hoax or a fraudulent request!
