Greetings Nikolaoc, welcome to the forum! How are things going over on MSN these days? I'd heard that it's changed quite a bit since last year...? :)

I'm gonna have to read Journey to Heaven soon, seeing as how everyone and their (spiritual) brother loves it. /\

My favorite Orthodox books is Orthodox Psychotherapy by Met. Hierotheos, but there are so many more that I like, such as:

Being as Communion by Met. John (Zizioulas)

Imperial Unity and Christian Divisions by Fr. John Meyendorff

Crisis in Byzantium: The Filioque Controversy in the Patrirchate of Gregory II of Cyprus by Ariesteides Papadakis

The Struggle Against Ecumenism by HOCNA (even though I personally am ecumenistically-minded, I read that book and also The Old Calendar Church of Greece and was simply filled with great respect for those who fought for the preservation of Orthodoxy [even though as an ecumenistically-minded person I don't agree with many of their conclusions])

Eustratios Argenti by Bp Kallistos (Ware), all about Greek-Latin relations in the T---ish occupation period

There are many more but I won't list them all!

In Christ,

anastasios

It looks like a tie. I like Law of God and Soul After Death best after Path To Confession which is my favorite Orthodox book ever.

I can't say it's my FAVORITE book, but I am currently reading "The Mountain of Silence-A Search for Orthodox Spirituality" by Kyriacos C. Markides. I thought it was out of print, but I found it at Barnes & Noble. The author travels to Mt. Athos & Cyprus and is "awakened anew" to the greatness of the church.

From what I understand, the author is a native Greek Cypriot & cradle Orthodox.
