About Catacomb Saint Maria of Gachina`s Relics

Post by Priest Siluan »

From a Traditional Orthodox Yahoo Gruop:

Dear Robb,

The relics are in MP church in Gatchina now. The hymns were not
written, they have taken the hymns written in ROAC.
I have a friend who lives near that church. She says that people very
seldom venerate the relics because no one there knows her and no one
cares. Sometimes the buses of tourists come from St.Petersburg to
venerate her (she is inclused to the list of tourist trips now to the
set of "St.Petersburg Orthodox places of interest"), but this is not
very often and probably not very sincere..

I would like to know if anyone has any new news of the relics of
Catacomb St. Maria of Gatchina (Matushka Mariya Gatchinskaya)? Last
thing I heard, she had been removed by the MP to one of their
churches, and a new icon and hymns were prepared and now used.
ADVISE.
