1700th anniv. St Martin of Tours' birth this year

Post by Barbara »

Apparently, March 2 was the 1700ths anniversary of the birth of St Martin of Tours in what was then the major Roman province of Pannonia.

"the Church in Hungary is celebrating the 1700th anniversary of the birth of St. Martin of Tours in Szombathely."

[There is really no more of value for Orthodox readers to the brief report.]

However, I wonder whether some acknowledgement or celebration during this year of 2016 could likewise be carried out in Orthodox parishes and schools, if any, named for the Sainted Bishop of Tours, France.
