There are many living saints in Greece, too... On Lycabettus hill (Athens) a holy elder has cured miraculously a few children with cancer!

In the 'Cyprianite' Monastery of the Saints Cyprian and Justina in Greece, there are icons of "Saint Myrtidiotissa the Eldress of Kleisoura". Who was she???

Quote on Elder Justin Popovich! He is now Saint Justin Popovich! He has been glorified by the Serbian Patriarchate a Saint! It has been verified by the holy Synod and all the spiritual sons of Saint Justin, Bishop Artemije of Kosovo, Metropolitans Amfilohije of Montenegro, Atanasije of Hersegovina and Pahomije of Branje, who all 4 are greek speaking too as their spiritual father.
Another modern Saint is Saint Panages of Cephalonia (his last name is Bassias) who is celebrated on the 7 of june both calendars. Elder Porphyrius is to be soon glorified Saint, even though it is too early not even 14 years (1991) since his dormition, his service has allready been written! Same thing for Elder Paisius of Mount Athos and Amphilochius of Patmos (who was a spiritual guide and tontured Metropolitan Amfilohije). Saint Joseph the Hesychast (the spiritual Father of Elder Ephraim of Philotheou who resides in Arizona) is this year to be glorified. There are some of his relics here in our monastery too. Elder Jerome (Hieronymos) of Aegina is to be glorified in the coming year, his service is published. Most of these elders have already written services and Icons. Don't forget of Elder Herman of Stavrovouni of Cyprus! Alas don't forget of the priests who didn't live in Monasteries, like Elder Epiphanius Theodoropoulos, who openly talked about the heresy of Ecumenism, and also of Zealotism. Another one is Elder Haralambus Vasilopoulos who was abbot of the Monastery of Petraki (or was it Asomaton?) in Athens. Eldress Xenia of Aegina, the spiritual daughter of Saint Nectarius, and Elder Martha, who was the spiritual daughter and biography of Saint Nicholas Planas. Also, Elder Tarasia (Tarso as they called her) the fool-for-Christ. In Russia! how many there? Who were under the Moscow Patriarchate. Hey, the ROCOR has brought the holiest hierarchs of our time, Archbishops Averky and Tikhon and the Schema-Archbishop Anthony of San Fransisco. The list will never end...

I had heard there are circles in the MP who want to make Stalin a saint. How true that is I don't know.

I can't even imagine the Troparion and Kontakion on Stalin!

As St. Paul, before confessing Christ, you.....

How sad, won't happen, but how sad that would be if the rumor was
even true in regards to a few who wanted such a thing. :(
