How is Sergianism expressed today?

Post by Justice »

I was always under the impression that Sergianism was expressing loyal to the communist government. Though today since Russia isn't communist anymore, how is Sergianism expressed?

Sergianism is expressed by honoring the "faithful" Sergianist laity and saints like Matrona,
and also honoring the priests, bishops, and patriarchs who faithfully served and
collaborated with the Soviet Union. Those who honor these faithful comrades are
Sergianists, and by implication, those who honor Sergianists are also Sergianists.

Thus, all those in communion with Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow, and all those who honor
and respect Patriarch Kyrill, who was a KGB agent, are Sergianists.
Those who are in the ROCOR-MP or belong to the MP are Sergianists.
In addition, by implication, all those who are in communion with the MP, such as the EP,
the Greek Orthodox in America (GOARCH), the Antiochians, the OCA, the Serbians, etc.
are all Sergianists.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

To go a step further, present day Sergianism can be found when a jurisdiction informs its theology through the nationalist interests of the government and not vice versa!
