Re: Holy Basil is the Holy Grail of herbs.
That's funny, I was just looking forward to St Basil's Day ! I haven't read the article but I know that basil essential oil is fantastic for clear thinking and to improve the brain's thought processes. Anyone want to try taking a few drops ? It won't hurt a thing and can only help. Be sure to buy on...

Re: SHOCKING NEWS! Former ROCOR bishop forsakes...
Fr Augustine, that is VERY HELPFUL, indeed. I had no idea this was all this attack on "raskolniks" - what a joke ! Raskolniks are Old Believers in MY book... Anyway it reveals so much about how the MP hates the True Orthodox. Now I see why the Fr Daniel of Yasenevo was in that church there...

^ No, no Antonios. That was the Indonesian convert to Orthodoxy, Fr Daniel ___ . He stayed with the MP union and is as far as I know still active in his region of Asia under Met Hilarion [Kapral]'s Rocor-MP. This Fr Daniel toured a few places in the US several years ago, as I recall. He was consider...

Re: Armed Robber Commits Suicide on Nov. 29, 2013 - I am saf
I am only now seeing this post. It is a reminder to us all to listen carefully to our intuition. Never let others talk you out of what you are sure of ; the devil may send people [his agents, willing or unwilliing ; witting or unwitting] to try to dissuade you. We all HAVE to be on the outlook for t...

Re: The Lesna Monastery needs a new furnace!...
I hope it WILL be one for them, Maria ! That certainly would save them a lot of trouble painstakingly raising euro by euro the amount needed. Plus the company could offer the installation as part of their promotion. THAT IS expensive, too. Not just the cost of the unit, but the labor to install, esp...

Re: Santa Paula OCA Nuns
I meanwhile looked this up. They did celebrate Dec 4, with 'archbishop Benjamin [Peterson]". Seems there are 14 nuns now, according to an orthodoxwiki entry ? One positive I see about the convent is that they began raising Lavender ! But it's not Lavandula Angustofolia. But some other. Hopefull...

Re: Iveron Icon of the Theotokos washes ashore in Sochi
Is this true ?
Or is it a setup, due to the fact that some Olympics are scheduled to be held at Sochi ?
I'd LIKE to believe it's a real discovery.
