Re: The Mystery of Iniquity
Yes, I can tell you something about that Icon. I had not heard it has stopped streaming Myrrh. That's quite interesting! What is truly remarkable about this Icon is the following striking event: [the sun just came brightly through the clouds as I wrote that!] When the negotiations were in full swing...

Re: Mysterious OCA Metropolitan Enthroned
Glad that you were able to benefit by that info. I'll be having more, too, but do not wish to write much until I have checked out rumors, if possible. Meanwhile, let's take a look at ROCOR-H's new Bishop Jerome of Manhattan for some similar questions regarding partly-concealed sympathies for the Sov...

Re: St Justinian Emperor
Let's hear it for Homer! My favorite from age 8 on, especially The Odyssey! He even has a - very slight - Russian connection: I saw a plaster copy of a nice statue bust of Homer among many others of the ancients, Greek sages, Roman Emperor's families and others on the second floor of the Pushkin. Re: SERBIAN TRUE ORTHODOX CHURCH
Brr! Where is the skete? Is it called after Archangel Michael? The words look like Mikelsky Kamen - sorry do not have much Serbian language ability! How near to Belgrade is it? [I was looking at a map of the Beograd region yesterday when studying a siege laid by Sultan Murat II in 1440. To my surpri...

Re: SERBIAN TRUE ORTHODOX CHURCH
This was so uplifting to see what feels like a much better glorification of Metropolitan Philaret, somehow more authentic. That's just my take on it. Very enjoyable to watch this clip which was beautifully rendered like all theirs! Hope to see more as time goes by. Thanks really a lot for posting th...

Re: Questionable prayer to our Most Holy Lady the Mother of God
[If anyone would like a copy of The Orthodox Veneration of Mary, let me know. I have a few extra, one at least from its first printing which I got at that Monastery back in probably 1994. I realized I have too many and am not using them and should find a good home for them.
