Re: Glorification of José Munoz by the ROCOR-MP?
This move would be all the more sorry when one considers that Metropolitan Philaret the Great has not moved past the same stage in the glorification process. At least as far as outsiders are aware. There was talk years ago about collecting testimonies of miracles performed by the third 1st Hierarch...

Re: Old Believers and Old Calendarists
Odd vignette told in book on St John Maximovitch's intercessions is as follows : " When [ future Bishop Daniel of Erie, now reposed ] was a seminarian and deciding about his future, he asked the blessing of Vladika John and another hierarch (it may have been Met. Philaret) to become an Old Rit...

Re: Fr Panagiotis Carras (GOC-K) on the Council of Crete
Is the lamp electric because of the insurance requirements which specify no candles? The OCA parish I attended was allowed to have that one candle, but immediately after the services, they had to extinguish all candles, only leaving that one red vigil lamp unattended. I can't say for certain, but t...

Re: Fr Panagiotis Carras (GOC-K) on the Council of Crete
I think Fr. Panagiotis is referring to the one red vigil lamp that is supposed to be kept burning at the entrance to the Holy Altar. I have seen this red vigil lamp indicating that our Lord is present in the Holy Eucharist in OCA parishes, but I wonder if it is present in the Greek and Antiochian O...

Fr Panagiotis Carras (GOC-K) on the Council of Crete
Recorded at the GOC-K Clergy Synaxis of 2017: https://youtu.be/4MFkaXpDQoE (So-called "council", of course. Crete was not a council at all.) Edit: I have one minor complaint. Around the 23:30 mark he says that if you visit any of the New Calendar churches you won't see one candle, vigil li...

Re: How are bishops in the ROCOR and in the GOC-K espousing ecumenism?
Sorry, but I'm re-starting this thread: can someone give me a citation for GOC-K currently espousing Cyprianism? I can't find one.
