Re: Pope Francis - A Political Man of the Cloth
Those pictures remind me of something too blasphemous to mention or even hint about here. :ohvey: I will say we are doomed if "Patriarch" Comrade Kyrill the Sergianist and ecumenist is our best hope? And what's this about not finding any clairvoyant elders anywhere in any of the True Ortho...

Re: Outrageous housing cost only rises in SF Bay Area
I passed on a job out there just because I couldn't afford to move out there. Honestly though, I'm not sure it's worse to hire the immigrants here for less, or just move the work out to India or China period, where salaries are a small fraction of what they are here. Remember, to a large corporation...

Re: Canons prohibiting laity or clergy from acting on stage?
Today was the day of a Martyr Gelasios of Hieropolis. He was named "the Actor". I thought that was worth investigating. But there was seemingly no material in English online. Perhaps he was a former actor who converted to Christianity, as his date of martyrdom is given as 297. I do rememb...

Re: Is World Orthodoxy graceless? Why become True Orthodox?
Well, I am back considering True Orthodoxy despite not really having a church near me. If I might add a question: It appears that the World Orthodox pretty much considers the so-called "Oriental Orthodox" as actually Orthodox, this despite them still refusing to accept the 4th, 5th and 6th...

Re: Pope Francis has reformed annulment process
It does sound much the same to me as well and of course open to abuse by bishops who just want to get the cases off their desks so rubber stamp the declarations of nullity. I can't help feeling that behind the scenes this is part of the negotiations for unity between (Vatican II) Roman Catholicism a...

Re: Aug 29, 2015 EP Synaxis Address Pushes Ecumenism
“ Those of our forefathers from whom we inherited this separation were the unfortunate victims of the serpent who is the origin of all evils; they are already in the hands of God, the righteous judge…And these men, being the causes for the schism, are now in the hands of God, the righteous judge.” ...
