Re: The good, the bad, and the ugly, or for whom the bell tolls

Alithos anesti! Now, if you have heard that our meeting with them went beyond this in any way, you need to provide evidence. The same goes for the visits we have paid to the Cyprianite/Agafangelite churches. There was no concelebration, nor even joint prayers as far as I know. But if you know of su...

ROAC-Lourie in St Petersburg Persecuted

I have to say for the record, that due to the name-worshiping allegations and other reasons, I'm not exactly a "fan" of Fr/Bishop Gregory Lourie. However, I find this to be disturbing news, as it is written, as it could have an impact on other True Orthodox communities.* Let's say a prayer...

Re: Metropolitan Niphon (GOC)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but his trial for alleged sexual abuse (not of minors, but of those under his spiritual obedience, and thus still a violation of the law) started the other day.

Some say he is not guilty. I hope he's not.

Re: Father Seraphim Rose

I am trying to let Jonathan grow in to his new moderatorial role here so I am trying to avoid doing tasks that he can do, just because he is not here to immediately do them. He may be en route to the GOC parish he attends for Holy Week services and not have access to the internet at this point. I do...

Re: Incognito 1583's own personal thread about whatever

Fr. Seraphim presented the patristic tradition regarding the hexaemeron correctly. When I read the Hexameron (which was a few years ago) I also read Kalomiros and portions of Fr Seraphim's work as part of an investigation of the topic, and I thought both Fr Seraphim and Kalomiros were proof-texting...

Re: Incognito 1583's own personal thread about whatever

Fr. Anastsi, I was addressing this to Catherine. joasia wrote: These are my own personal opinions, so I hope the moderators will allow them since you can say what you please. Alright. I was confused since you referenced us and I wasn't sure what you meant. I just wanted to make it clear that we try...

Re: Establish a private forum for inter-True Orthodox debate?

Thanks for your comment, although that's not exactly what I was suggesting (organizational secrecy), given that anyone could join the group who is already a member of the site. We already have private forums for clergy, women, and youth here, so it would be just one more of those types of forums. Bu...
