Re: TOC of Georgia
Agreed ! I admit : there is a feeling of sinister eyes looking over one's shoulder when one is writing in the public Forums. This really feels safer. It was a good idea to create them. Thank you for that ! Now, Patriarch Ilya may LOOK independent. But surely that's what any Soviet agent or agent-in-...

Revealing look at Wikipedia's re-writers
It's believed by sharp observers that there are a stable of Israeli and pro-Israeli editors who go in and change everything on wikipedia to suit Israel's wishes. I think I have found evidence here, in an unlikely corner of said internet resource. Yesterday, I noted a call for the American politician...

Re: TOC of Georgia
Yes that's fair, Maria. I realized after I made my post that I was getting close to the "verboten" category in that post which initiates this thread here. Jean-Serge, well ! I assume that the MP controls A LOT behind the scenes in the Georgian Patriarchate. Not like before Saakashvili, of ...

TOC of Georgia
Yes, of course, there is! There is 100 persons under GOC-K in Georgia and 2 parishes. Re: Exciting Answers to Prayer Through the Saints
This was a nice idea of Icxypion's for a thread. Let's try to remember it and add any applicable stories, so as to keep encouraging people. As for the first story above, on a very minor basis, I found a small slip of paper under my driver's seat today, where I reached for no real reason and fished a...

Re: Exciting Answers to Prayer Through the Saints
I was wondering about who St Irene Chrysavalantou was, having heard the name but never read her life story.
Now that there is a new TOC parish dedicated to her, the excerpt here is all the more powerful.
I will have to read the story itself to understand her vision better, though.

Re: Nun Agnia [Countess Anna Orlova-Chesmenskaya]
Aha ! This IS who I had first thought : the same Countess who was devoted to Starets Feofil of the Kiev Caves ! I knew her name was very familiar and immediately thought of this noblewoman. However, the date of repose didn't seem exactly right. It was, after all, 5 years before the repose of Feofil ...
