I had never heard of this Bishop, but I'll definitely pray for him.

 

He was a Bishop of the GOC-Stephanos (the main Matthewite Synod) who lived in the Midwest. But health problems prevented him from doing much over the years.

Nothing (to be fair I haven't checked); just "a Tsar calling for a memorial service to a dead heterodox royal in defiance of the wave of liberalism in France" doesn't rise to the level of "nascent ecumenism" for me.
